    ANOTHER BARRY SOETORO/DoE FLY-BY-NIGHT COMPANY GOES BELLY-UP!

“The audience for a sperm-shaped, three-wheeled, electric two-seater was never anything but small. It didn’t help that production of the 2e — at one point promised for October 2009 — was continually delayed as Wilbur ordered redesigns…”

Seen the ads for this thing. Cut the cost. I can buy a sub compact for less and still pay for the gas to drive it for the next ten years for $25,000. CUT THE COST sell more and still make money while saving the world.

@JasonTyberiusKirk 30-year-old nuclear plants are dangerous; modern ones are safe. Problem is that nobody (not even Japan, to their sorrow!) has the political will to modernize and replace instead of just keeping the old plants running… which is eventually going to mean more disasters down the line. In any event — electric vehicles mean that you don’t need to improve or replace every car on the road to improve efficiency or cut pollution, as you can improve just the centralized power plants.

This will never happen… meaning that it’s going to be way over priced. Middle class people will in no way be able to afford that vehicle. Basically, it’s just another toy for the rich people and that’s the whole problem.

@Blackwater200 I didn’t know that. Really? It makes sense. Buy them out and scrap the whole thing so we are kept dependent on oil. That really stinks.

  19. #19 by thecrashpit on October 26, 2011 - 10:20 pm

@JasonTyberiusKirk I wish ppl would realize this, if our country has ppl @ NASA, who have the intelligence to invent the ‘Rover’ & a ‘Space Shuttle’ to send it to the frikkin ‘MOON!’, & they drive it across the moon by ‘Remote Control’ that it can’t produce a measly ole electric car? I don’t get it. I do know Big Oil spends BILLIONS to buy politicians. If not, someone PLEASE explain it to me, WHY a totally electric car is not on the road? 3 billion=on a bridge nobody uses, 0=an electric car.?

  20. #20 by thecrashpit on October 26, 2011 - 10:47 pm

@JasonTyberiusKirk The oil companies are not only more powerful financially, it is unreal the power they have over politicians. If it weren’t for the oil company PAC’s, this car would be on the road. They are buying politicians to secure their paychecks by keeping us dependent on oil. for example- the money sank into that ‘bridge to nowhere’ abominable waste of money could’ve funded 50 companies like Aptera @ 100% to bring cars like this to market.

  21. #21 by Blackwater200 on October 26, 2011 - 11:44 pm

@soucorp The oil company is trying to buy them out.

Respond to this video… we could achieve independance from foreign energy if we were allowed to axcess our own internal reserves of energy, coal, nat gas, tar oil, and others. there is no shortage of energy anywhere.

  24. #24 by circusboy90210 on October 27, 2011 - 12:53 am

@soucorp it has. talk is also necessary to get the money going.

  25. #25 by JasonTyberiusKirk on October 27, 2011 - 1:14 am

@ProjectionLabel You sir are misinformed. Most electric companies get electrical power from fossil fuel. Nuclear power is dangerous and hydro-electric power is in the minority. So big oil companies are more powerful economically. I would love to see all vehicles become electric powered but the reality is that the powers that be do not want to lose profits and therefore their ability to control the government for the greater good of humankind.
