@UFCextra What’s the point of a V8 when you can extract just as much power from a TT V6? You’re not compensating for something are you? You also gain better fuel economy, and a better power/weight ratio. There’s no need for a V8 in a car this small and agile. Look for a TT V6 in the inevitable ATS-V.

  2. #2 by fhhs05 on January 28, 2012 - 7:34 pm

@UFCextra you want that same 6.2 v8 from corvette and camaro in it???hell no, 6.2 and barely produces 400hp stock, that’s pretty bad. i would rather have the 6.3 from srt8 that comes with 470 hp.

  3. #3 by UFCextra on January 28, 2012 - 8:11 pm

@fhhs05 the new 911 is tri-turbo (3 turbos) , and the GT-R has respectable performance #’s – but aside from those 2 – 99% of V6 engines suck ass, I would never buy a Cadillac V6 performance sedan wtf? Cadillac has always made big, heavy, powerful luxury cars – this isn’t pussy europe or asia with low liter turbo 4 and 6 cylinders that sound like cheap lawn mowers. America wants V8 Cadillacs.

  4. #4 by fhhs05 on January 28, 2012 - 8:57 pm

@UFCextra so you think porsche 911 turbo and nissan GTR are for broke ass chumps?? O_O”’

  5. #5 by tonitail on January 28, 2012 - 9:44 pm

    nice….

  6. #6 by UFCextra on January 28, 2012 - 10:37 pm

@onlyje22 Cadillac always is a better choice than a european car, europe is weak and poor, Noth Americaa is the king and Caddys are the kings best automobiles. Your shitty german cars break down almost 2x as fast with shitty build quality, I’ve owned new Euro cars, the Cadillac has always been so much better. Why do you think the President rides Cadillac and not some shitty Mercedes ?

  7. #7 by UFCextra on January 28, 2012 - 10:41 pm

@Collaziano ya, the GT-R uses a V6, but it has the #’s to show for it, 0-60 in 2.8 sec, that’s literally the only respectable V6 engine. I say leave the shitty low liter turbo cars to Europe, Asia and South America….let the wealthy North Americans have V8…because we get our gas cheap, we don’t pay $8/gal like Europe and Asia. Only MPG struggling faggots look at a V6 engine

  8. #8 by onlyje22 on January 28, 2012 - 11:27 pm

    better than a german carr??!!!muahahahaha!!!NEVER!!!!=))))

  9. #9 by UFCextra on January 28, 2012 - 11:57 pm

V6 cars suck, i dont care what it is…a V6 is gay and for the chumps who care about “fuel efficiency” lol…V6 is weak

  10. #10 by UFCextra on January 29, 2012 - 12:31 am

Pussies, poor and middle class drive V6, the wealthy drive V8

  11. #11 by Collaziano on January 29, 2012 - 1:25 am

@Greendude33 The next M3 will also be a turbo V6. The TT 3.0 LF3 will be at least competitive. GM already said it’s not going to “blow the doors off” the competition right now. The vehicles we’re seeing now, especially the XTS and ATS, were all affected by the bankruptcy. All we can expect Cadillac to do, right now, is remain competitive until they get back on their feet. Sales of the ATS and XTS will give us a full-size premium flagship and a better ATS-V, amongst other vehicles, in the future.

  12. #12 by Greendude33 on January 29, 2012 - 1:40 am

@Collaziano Cadillac and the V Series need to be more than competitive they need need to set the bar like the CTS-V did in its class, the V’s are critical for the new image of Caddy. The V serisons of the Coupe, Sedan and Wagon scored a homerun, so I hope the ATS-V will follow suit and I also hope they offer it as a coupe as well.

I would also like to see them bring the XLR back but have them do it right this time after the launch of the C7 Corvette.

  13. #13 by Collaziano on January 29, 2012 - 2:14 am

@UFCextra Doesn’t the GT-R use a turbo V6? That’s not impressive enough for you? I hear you about wanting V8s – I want ‘em as well – but they’re not happening. So we’re either going to have to deal with it – or wish we could. You could always buy a GT-R and swap in a V8 if you want…

  14. #14 by Collaziano on January 29, 2012 - 2:45 am

@Greendude33 The TT 3.0 will have over 400hp. I felt the same – about 380-400 TOPS in the motor until I found out it would have over 400. GM has a 1000 horsepower “four” – so they have the technology to make a seriously strong TT V6. I just wonder how much they’re going to detune it for reliability. Modified N54 335i (TT 3.0) engines are pushing 500hp without issue so this kind of power isn’t new to these small engines. My GUESS is about 420-430hp for the TT V6 ATS-V – which will be competitive.

  15. #15 by Greendude33 on January 29, 2012 - 3:30 am

@Collaziano The engine I was talking about was just introduced to the 2012 Camaro and 2012 CTS… The 3.0L according to reports does not seem adequate considering the new M3 and C63 AMG will be around 450BHP. The Best figures suspected from the 3.0L is 380-400BHP which will just not cut it. The 3.6L LFX with twin turbo’s would make more sense as it would produce more competitive HP and torque figures. I would support the use of an LF3 however if they can squeeze at least 450 HP.

  16. #16 by UFCextra on January 29, 2012 - 3:44 am

No one wants a V6 , there is already a V6 option, WTF? Please bring a heavy duty V8 to the table instead of some pussy turbo V6

  17. #17 by Collaziano on January 29, 2012 - 4:23 am

@Greendude33 The turbo 3.6 everyone is talking about is the engine in the Ciel concept. Since GM is having trouble with the TT 3.0 LF3, who knows? Maybe they WILL ultimately decide to go with a turbo 3.6 – since it IS a proven engine (naturally aspirated, anyway). However, at this time, those are not the plans and the TT 3.0 is the engine of choice. It’ll be over 400 horsepower and will allow the ATS to compete with the M3. The engine is also slated for use in the XTS, the next CTS and Escalade.

  18. #18 by UFCextra on January 29, 2012 - 4:45 am

Fuck V6 engines. It’s ALL about the V8 engine, the deep gas guzzling v8 engine growl, and that sense that you dont ever worry about MPG, who cares about MPG? Only middle class or poor people.

  19. #19 by Greendude33 on January 29, 2012 - 5:09 am

@Collaziano Motortrend and Autoweek as of Jan 2012 seem to think it will be based on the 3.6l LFX V6 which is a nicely refined, advanced and proven V6 powerplant for GM. It would make no sense to spend millions in developing an entire new engine that would not have a use in any other GM product. With a TT LFX V6 we can expect at least figures comprable to an LS3 or more if they add the two mode exhaust with the Di and VVT. Defintely an M3 threat

  20. #20 by Greendude33 on January 29, 2012 - 6:03 am

@UFCextra continued… The Corvette and Camaro are the only GM cars that should never stray away the OHV V8. Cadillac however is postioning itself with the best from Germany and as absolute badass as the CTS-V is, I would love to see the next gen CTS-V to have 32 valve V8 similar to the Northstar series but if not the new direct injected 5.5l V8 is a great start. I also would like to see the XLR return and done right this time as a true luxury grand touring Vette.

  21. #21 by Greendude33 on January 29, 2012 - 6:19 am

@UFCextra Buyers of Cadillac’s are upper middle class to wealthy firstly. And the newly revised 3.6L LFX direct injection DOHC V6 is one hell of an engine and on par with an early model LS1, if GM follows through with twin turbo’s it will be a mosnter. It would not make sense to just keep jamming in big pushrod V8′s as much as I love the LS series.

Cadillac is in the big leagues again and a high tech DOHC direct injected VVT V6 is a huge statement.

  22. #22 by Greendude33 on January 29, 2012 - 6:26 am

    @Jeredin13 Forced Induction does mean Turbo/Supercharger yes…

  23. #23 by Collaziano on January 29, 2012 - 6:52 am

The Twin Turbo V6 everyone is talking about is actually a brand new 3.0 liter engine code named LF3 and will have over 400 horsepower. This is more than likely the engine you’ll see in the ATS-V. Google “cadillac owners group” for the latest information on this and all Cadillac models…

  24. #24 by UFCextra on January 29, 2012 - 7:33 am

@Jeredin13 V6 engines suck ass. Leave it to the poor-middle class to buy V6, the wealthy want V8′s. I hope the ATS-V is NOT a V6 …wtf ? Why would you want a V6 !?!? They already have one as an option. I don’t even care if you can get the same power out of both, V6 cars suck, V8 cars are awesome.

  25. #25 by Jeredin13 on January 29, 2012 - 8:21 am

@Greendude33 Stupid question: forced injection = turbo/super charger?

  31. #31 by jackbonjour on January 29, 2012 - 12:03 pm

@jackbonjour and they dont need your keys because they could hack your car

  32. #32 by jackbonjour on January 29, 2012 - 12:12 pm

    what if you get stabbed?

  33. #33 by qldlover on January 29, 2012 - 1:10 pm

@jackbonjour How are they going to drive your car without your keys? What if they steal your keys? Well, your going to have your car stolen automatic carpark or not.

Why not ask, what if I lose my chip thingy? But before someone asks that, it’s obvious that you would go to the carpark with proof of id to get them to manually retrieve it.

  34. #34 by jackbonjour on January 29, 2012 - 1:42 pm

what if someone steals your chip thingy then steals your car?

This is amazing management, where are we staying as far as plan to solve our problems??

  43. #43 by qldlover on January 29, 2012 - 5:59 pm

Why not ask a decent question like ‘what if you have a trailer’?

  44. #44 by qldlover on January 29, 2012 - 6:46 pm

Obviously the machine can move the mercedes out of the way first.
Any system like this would have at least 3 backup power systems in place

  45. #45 by DK0526 on January 29, 2012 - 6:55 pm

    what if the power fails

  46. #46 by WNxRadeon on January 29, 2012 - 7:26 pm

what if the owner of the red car wants to get out before the owner of the mercedes?
they red car can’t be retreved because the mercedes is in the way.
