Business Minister Mark Prisk attended the Frankfurt Motor Show to build on the positive engagement at last year’s show in Paris, where the joint approach with industry made a significant impact in raising the UK profile.
The visit was to promote the activities of the Automotive Council and to influence major global automotive suppliers to invest in the UK. Building the UK automotive supply chain is important to further manufacturing growth. Investments in R&D, engineering and component manufacturing are key priorities for the Council.
It was also an opportunity to visit a number of UK-based manufacturers including: Aston Martin, Bentley, BMW MINI, Ford, Honda, JLR, Lotus, Rolls Royce and Toyota
